1. Welcome to The Mushroom Network Social Site (Section 1.0)
We are excited to have you join our community of mycologists, mushroom enthusiasts, and explorers of the fungal world! The Mushroom Network (TMN) Social Site fosters the education, discovery, and appreciation of mushrooms, with an emphasis on responsible, ethical, and legal practices.
By registering on this platform, you agree to comply with the following Terms of Use. Please review them carefully.
2. General Guidelines (Section 2.0)
- 2.1 Respect the Law: All users must abide by local, regional, and national laws when engaging in discussions or activities related to mycology. While we welcome scientific and spiritual discussions, including those related to psychedelic mushrooms (e.g., psilocybe cubensis), all content must remain within legal and responsible boundaries.
- 2.2 Content Focus: TMN Social emphasizes the scientific, spiritual, and ecological aspects of mushrooms. Discussions about research, cultivation, and personal experiences are encouraged. However, promoting illegal activities or misuse of mushrooms is prohibited.
- 2.3 Showcase of Genetics, Not a Marketplace: TMN-Social is not a marketplace for mycology. It is a platform where mycologists and enthusiasts can showcase the genetics they are working on. Any attempt to sell genetics or mushroom-related products directly on the platform will be considered a violation of these Terms of Use and will result in account removal (no refunds, if applicable).
- Users may display their contact information (e.g., email, phone, website) for third-party inquiries about their genetics, but all sales must take place off-site.
- TMN-Social is dedicated to education and discovery—not to serve as a sales platform.
3. Contributions & Community Engagement (Section 3.0)
- 3.1 Share Responsibly: You are encouraged to share photos, videos, research, and spiritual journeys. Posts should reflect scientific inquiry, personal growth, or spiritual development, while avoiding the promotion of illegal use or abuse of mushrooms.
- 3.2 Respectful Dialogue: TMN fosters both scientific and spiritual exploration. Engage in constructive, respectful, and positive dialogue. Harassment, hate speech, and offensive content will not be tolerated.
- 3.3 Blacklisted Content: Content that includes the following topics will result in immediate removal and possible suspension:
- Prohibited Topics: Any references to hard drugs (e.g., Acid, MDMA, heroin), murder, violence, or other illegal activities unrelated to mushrooms.
- Offensive Language: Content that includes hate speech, offensive jokes, or inappropriate behavior based on race, gender, religion, etc.

4. Account Security (Section 4.0)
- 4.1 Accurate Information: Users must provide accurate and truthful information during the registration process. Attempts to deceive or bypass security measures (e.g., using fake identities or spoofing) will result in a permanent ban.
- 4.2 Use of VPNs and Proxies: VPNs and proxies are permitted, but users attempting to use them for fraudulent, malicious, or illegal activities will be permanently banned. TMN uses advanced AI systems to detect and prevent such actions.
5. Privacy and Data Security (Section 5.0)
- 5.1 Protecting Your Privacy: TMN takes privacy seriously. Metadata and other identifying information on photos and videos are automatically removed to protect users’ privacy.
- 5.2 Personal Information: Users are discouraged from sharing personal information (e.g., location data) unless absolutely necessary. TMN is not responsible for personal data shared voluntarily by users.
6. Intellectual Property (Section 6.0)
- 6.1 Ownership of Content: Users retain ownership of the content they upload, but all content must be original or shared with the appropriate permissions. Users are prohibited from posting content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- 6.2 Use of Media for Educational and Promotional Purposes:
- By sharing content on TMN, users grant TMN permission to use, edit, and share their content for educational and promotional purposes.
- TMN’s goal is to expand access to mushroom content, exposing global audiences to research, discoveries, and species they may never have encountered due to geographical restrictions or other limitations.
- TMN is not seeking to profit from user content but aims to grow the community by sharing contributions that enhance global mycological knowledge.
- Credit will always be given to content creators, and TMN will attempt to contact users before using their media for promotional purposes.
7. Indemnification Clause (Section 7.0)
By using this platform, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Mushroom Network, LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the platform.
- Any content you upload, post, or share.
- Any breach of these Terms, including illegal or harmful content.
TMN has implemented measures to safeguard the platform, but you remain responsible for your own actions and content.
8. Content Moderation Policy (Section 8.0)
- 8.1 Moderation Rights: TMN reserves the right to monitor, review, and moderate all user-generated content (e.g., posts, comments, images, and videos). Any content that violates the Terms of Use will be removed.
- 8.2 Reporting Violations: Users may report content that they believe violates the Terms of Use by using the report feature or contacting the moderation team.
- 8.3 Actions Taken: TMN may take corrective actions, including content removal, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans, as necessary.
9. Dispute Resolution (Section 9.0)
- 9.1 Informal Resolution: Any disputes or claims arising from these Terms of Use will first attempt to be resolved through informal negotiation. Users agree to contact TMN’s support team to resolve issues.
- 9.2 Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in Suwannee County, Florida.
- 9.3 Waiver of Class Action: Users waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against TMN.

- 10.3 Misuse of Platform: Misuse of TMN’s platform features, including manipulation of content visibility or exploiting the system, is strictly prohibited.

- 11.1 Minimum Age Requirement: Users must be 18 years or older to use TMN. By registering, users confirm that they meet this requirement.
- 11.2 Parental Consent: Users aged 13-18 may use TMN only with parental consent. Parents are responsible for monitoring their child’s activities on the platform.
- Accounts for users under 18 will have restricted access to certain parts of the site, including psychedelic-related content.
12. DMCA and Copyright Infringement (Section 12.0)
- 12.1 Copyright Protection: TMN respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. If copyrighted material has been posted without permission, users may submit a DMCA takedown notice.
